Day 1: Marrakech - Menara airport - transfer to the hotel
Your guide will pick you up at the airport and bring you to your riad. Depending on your time of arrival you will have the day or afternoon on your own. Dinner and overnight in the riad.Day 2: Marrakech - Sightseeingtour with local guide
Our guide will pick you up from your Riad/hotel in Marrakech at 9:30 a.m then This enlightening guided day tour will include the most stunning sites of Marrakech as you are touring the city with an extremely knowledgeable tour guide. The tour will start from the meeting point to the oldest section of Ben Youssef where you will explore the Medrassa Ben Youssef, the largest theological college in the Maghreb and an outstanding achievement of the Moorish architecture. Then, you will head to The museum of Marrakech which was the palace of the Moroccan defense minister in the 19th century, where the carved stucco are among the most intricate in the palaces of Marrakech. The day tour will continue through the alleys of the Medina and visit the most interesting handicrafts quarters such as the leather auction, tinsmiths, and coppersmiths. We join the big square of Jemaa El Fna, the city´s main square. The tour will continue deep to the Bahia palace, a haven of shady courtyards, colorful cedar ceiling, blue mosaic and beautiful quarters. Afterwards, we go to the new city to visit the botanical gardens of Jack Majorelle and Yves Saint Laurent before we stroll through the labyrinthine streets back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in the Riad.Day 3: Marrakech - Tiz´n´Tichka - Ouarzazate - Skoura - Kelaa M´Gouna
Our driver will meet you at your riad or hotel where you will be picked up. Then depart for Marrakech and transport across the High Atlas mountains via Tiz´N´Tichka pass, taking time to stop and enjoy beautiful landscapes, and coffee and fresh orange juice. Before we enter Ouarzazate, we visit the old Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. This Kasbah has appeared in over 20 films, including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia who was the first movie to be shot here. After this we continue to the Valley of Roses and visiting the Kasbah Amerhidil in Skoura. This incredible Kasbah is located next to the river Amerhidil, is one of the largest in Morocco. There is possibility for lunch or just some tea or coffee then we drive further into the Valley of Roses and reach Kelaa Magouna. Dinner and overnight in the Riad.Day 4: Kelaa M´Gouna - Boumalne Dades - Dades-Gorge - Tinghir - Todra-Gorge - Tinjedad - Touroug - Erfoud - Merzouga - night in the hotel
After breakfast we continue to Dades Boumalne and Dades Gorge, and see the beauty of this gorge, with its many berber villages and grand views throughout the valley. we depart for Merzouga via Tinghir, Tinjedad, Touroug and Jorf, with its old underground irrigation system. We reach Erfoud town and then we continue the road via Rissani to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, also known as Dunes of Merzouga. Dinner and overnight in Merzouga in the hotel.Day 5: Merzouga - Rissani - desert nomads - Khamlia - Merzouga - night in the bivouac
After breakfast, you will start a fantastic journey around the dunes of Merzouga and visit the village of Khamlia (village of Gnaoua) with its great musicians originated from Mali.After this we will visit a nomad family living in the desert, then we will head to the town of Rissani with its lifely souk, where you can enjoy delicious berber pizza. Then we return to the hotel. In the later afternoon, we prepare for the camel trekking into the sunset and spend the night in a Berber tent in the dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in a bivouac (camp).Day 6: Merzouga, Alnif, Tazzarine, Nkoub, Ouarzazate, Draa-Valley, Zagora, night in the hotel
After a quiet and memorable night in the dunes of Erg Chebbi sand, you can watch the sunrise over the dunes, then a typical breakfast is served and we go back with the camels to the hotel to meet the guide and have shower, then we leave for Rissani. You can explore the tourist area including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and the palm grove as a part of your exploration. Lunch in Nkoub, then continue to Zagora through the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Zagora.Day 7: Zagora - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Tiz´n´Tichka - Marrakech
After breakfast, you will leave Zagora, through Draa Valley and Agdez. You will follow the path to explore the Draa River as one of the longest rivers in the High Atlas Morocco, originating in the mountains. Enjoy its green palm goves (Date, olives, and almonds.), green foliage is an indication of good irrigation of the valley in this area. After this we will continue to Ouarzazate, where you can visit the Kasbah Taourirt (incredible example of various buildings that are uniquely constructed with earth materials).
