11 Days Tour from Casablanca to Casablanca - big tour with nice adventure in the desert
Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca, transfer to the hotel
Upon arrival in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, you will be picked up from the airport and brought to your hotel in Casablanca, where you check-in and relax for the afternoon. Depending on the weather, you can choose to have an optional tour of the Hassan II mosque, said to be one of the largest mosques in the world. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Fes
After breakfast, we drive to Fes. On the way, we stop in Rabat, the capital and residence of the king. Lunch there and time to enjoy the beautiful coastal town. After lunch we continue to Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco.Dinner and overnight at the Riad.
Day 3 : Fes - Private city tour with a local guide
Morning visit and guided tour to the City's cultural and spiritual realm, we begin this tour at the ruins of the Merinids tombs overlooking the city, then go to Fes el Bali, that is divided into two banks of Wadi Fez. We discover the wonderful KARAOUIYYIN mosque, the fountain and the center Nejjarine, the souks and the royal palace and Madrasa. We have lunch near a palace in the medina. Dinner and overnight at the Riad.
Day 4 : Fes - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
After an early breakfast, we drive to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. You will spend the morning exploring the 2000 years old ruins and get a picture of life during the Roman Empire. Lunch can be taken in Moulay Idris, one of the holiest cities in Morocco. After lunch, your driver will take you on a drive through tour of the imperial city of Meknes, the capital of Moulay Ismail, where we discover the impressive Bab Mansour (1732), the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the market of the medina of Lahdim place, stables and the house of water (DAR AL MA). You can choose to hire a guide for exploring the city. You will return to Fes in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the Riad.
Day 5 : Fes - Midelt - Errachidia - Ziz Valley - Erfoud
After breakfast, we will leave for Midelt through the Mountains and the cedar forests of the middle Atlas. We pass by Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou, an important handicraft centre specialised in the work of cedar wood. We arrive in Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon we will arrive to Erfoud, where you will spend the night in a quiet hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : Erfoud - Merzouga - Night in the hotel or in nomad tent under the stars in the desert
After breakfast, you will start a fantastic journey around the area and visit Rissani, where you can enjoy delicious berber pizza, the village of Khamlia (village of Gnaoua) with its great musicians, who can make you dance. We will visit the Lake of Merzouga and a nomad family living in the desert. Then we continue our way to Merzouga, where you will check into the hotel. There you can relax and then take some of your luggage in a small bag (the necessary for the night in desert) and leave the other luggage in the hotel. Then we will ride the camels into the dunes of Erg Chebbi. This is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset. When we reach the camp we walk to the highest sand dunes for sandboarding and to watch the sunset. We will spend the night in a camp (Berber nomad tents) with drums music in the middle of the Sahara.
Day 7: Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Touroug - Tinjedad - Tinghir - Todra Gorge
After a quiet and memorable night near the dunes of Erg Chebbi, the camels take you back to the hotel, where you can have breakfast and a shower. Then we leave for the road to the Todra Gorge. After passing Erfoud, Jorf, Touroug and Tinjedad we arrive to Tinghir, a lush oasis in a beautiful valley. After some 20 kilometers, we arrive to the stunning Todra Gorge, in its narrowest point just 10 m wide. You can walk in the refreshing cold river and enjoy the view on the rocks, up to 150 m high. Dinner and overnight at the Kasbah hotel.
Day 8: Todra Gorge - Dades Gorge – RoseValley – Ouarzazate - Kasabah Ait Ben Haddou - Tiz´n´Tichka - Marrakech
After breakfast, we will leave this Gorge, and then continue our way to the second Gorge, the Dades Gorge and Dades Valley. Great views and fascinating rock formations await you there, and many Berber villages. Then we continue our road through the Valley of Roses, we pass Kelaa M´Gouna and will see lot of Kasbahs, some of them already very old and fallen to ruins, some of them still in use. This valley bears its name due to the rose production located in this area. Near Skoura, we will visit Kasbah Amerhidil, a well preserved and beautiful Kasbah. We can have a rest and a coffee or tea there, and enjoy the quiet and special atmosphere of this place. This Kasbah is located next to the river Amerhidil, is one of the largest in Morocco. We continue our way and arrive to Ouarzazate, the "Door to the desert", a city well known for its film studios, where many international productions are shot. Then we will leave Ouarzazate and take a visit of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This Kasbah has appeared in over 20 films, including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia who was the first movie to be shot here. We continue our way and drive through the High Atlas Mountains via Tiz´n´Tichka pass. You will enjoy stunning views on this windy road, and have a lot of opportunities for great pictures. We will have a stop there and rest, to have some coffee or tea, and lunch. Arrival to Marrakech in the later afternoon. Once in Marrakech, you will check in your riad, then turning to Djemaa el-Fna, the central square of the medina. The famous Djemaa el-Fna, is one of the attractions of the center of Marrakech. Coming alive at night with the local storytellers, entertainers, and succulent barbecue pits, the square is well worth a visit. A quiet cup of tea on the terrace of an nearby bar offers a spectacular aerial view of the bustling square. Dinner and overnight in the Riad.
Day 9 : Marrakech - guided tour with a local guide
After breakfast, you will have a guided tour of Marrakech, the pearl of the south of Morocco. Discover the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, you will continue with a visit to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el-Fna, one of the attractions of the center of Marrakech. The tour will conclude with an exploration of the souk (market) lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, woven Berber carpets and many art objects of Morocco. Dinner and overnight at the Riad.
Day 10 : Marrakech - Essaouira
After breakfast, depart for Essaouira. Enjoy this beautiful day at the beach in Essaouira, after a 3 hours drive from Marrakesh.The interesting architecture of Essaouira shows characteristics of both Portuguese/French and Berber in a beautiful town protected by UNESCO. Its white houses, its relaxed atmosphere, its classic outdoor cafes, craft shops and tasty fresh fish make a visit to Essaouira so special. Dinner and overnight at the Riad.
Day 11 : Essaouira - Al Jadida - Casablanca
After breakfast, we depart for returning to Casablanca, via Al-Jadida. We will take lunch in the coastal town of Al Jadida and then take the last part of the road to Casablanca, where we arrive in the afternoon. Transfer to the hotel or airport, end of our service.
